A young boy is called to take a bath, but he comes up with dozens of reasons why he doesn’t need one. Things take a turn at the end, and he needs to re-evaluate his argument.
This is a light and comical read. Some children love getting baths, while others don’t. This book goes beyond the argument of taking a bath and shows how children have a way of convincing others why they do or don’t want to do something.
The illustrations by Joy Ang go back and forth from being fully developed and having backgrounds to being placed against the white of the page. This adds variety and brings the reader’s attention to the increase of dirt and debris covering the character.
This book is sure to bring giggles, and parents have probably heard many of these excuses from their own children.
